The community is invited to meet College of the Mainland’s (COM) new president, Dr. Helen Brewer on Thursday, Oct. 16. This meet and greet event will take place from 4 - 6 p.m. in the COM Conference Center.
“College of the Mainland is a place where opportunity meets potential,” said Dr. Brewer. “I look forward to building on the college’s strong foundation and working with our community to ensure every student has the support they need to thrive.”
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Dr. Brewer, hear from her directly and learn about her vision for the College. The event will also feature remarks from COM’s longest-serving employee Tillie Henson, as well as insights from current students and faculty highlighting their experiences and programs at COM.
“Having spent more than 50 years at College of the Mainland, I’ve seen the college grow and evolve in incredible ways,” said Henson. “I’m excited to see what the future holds under Dr. Brewer’s leadership and how our community and students will continue to thrive.”
The event is free and open to the public, with light refreshments served. Don’t miss this chance to meet COM’s new president and learn how the college is shaping the future of the community.
