College of the Mainland (COM) will host a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Corporate Training Center (CTC) at 7825 Monticello Drive in Texas City on Thursday, April 16, from 3 to 5 p.m. The community is invited to attend this milestone event marking the completion of the first project funded by the 2023 COM bond and the opening of a new hub for workforce development.
“This center is about creating opportunity to bring people and businesses together in ways that benefit our entire region,” said Dr. Helen Brewer, president of College of the Mainland. “It provides a space where connections can be made, partnerships can grow and events can inspire collaboration. By investing in our community, we are fostering regional growth and creating economic opportunities that will strengthen our area for years to come.”
The CTC will provide industry-driven training through modern labs, flexible meeting spaces and expert instruction designed to help employers upskill their workforce. The facility will equip employees with technical, leadership and safety skills while offering businesses dedicated space for training, certifications and professional development.
Guests will enjoy refreshments and guided tours of the facility following the ceremony.
Community members are encouraged to RSVP at http://evt.to/ehshegsmw.
